Archival Materials

BACKGROUND:

I was professionally trained in photographic archival procedures.  I earned my photography degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester New York, home to the Eastman Kodak Co. I also met the requirements to become a Registered Biological Photographer. Archival stability is a criteria when I print a photograph or create a piece of art. At RIT photo science was a requirement and professors stressed archival standards with strict procedural guidelines from the beginning.  Knowing archival methods as well as I do, I hold my print-on-demand technology to the same standards.

Platinum Printing is an iron photographic printing process that uses the light sensitivity of ferric oxalate to produce the precipitation of platinum which creates a black image. Highly expensive and extremely permanent, platinum printing is known for its long and rich tonal scale.
